‘Doing our bit to tackle climate change’
With reference to the Governments growing environmental campaign to bring the public’s attention to the damage we are all doing to the environment and how each one of us can help in a ‘small’ way towards correcting the imbalance using energy saving methods.
Friends of the Earth in a new environmental campaign, suggests that we "Shop Local First Supermarket Second" the increased car fuel emissions being accelerated by the growing use of the Super Stores, this trend also is contributing towards the demise of the local High Street Shop.
The suggestion is we can all help to reverse these trends if we “Shop Local First Supermarket Second” we can help save our local shops, boost local economy and in doing so help ‘Do our bit to tackle climate change’
Each local Directory deployed would create employment, support local business, encourage people to shop local with the use of product promotions such as loyalty cards, discounts, door to door deliveries etc. help towards stopping the growing number of High Street shops going out of existence and most importantly contribute towards reversing climate change.
